Lynda.com App Reviews

Excellent

Before moving over to Lynda, I was a premium member of Video2Brain, which is now a Lynda.com company. Ive learned pretty much in these two years. I was always squinting at Lynda because theyre offering courses and trainings, V2B does not have, e. g. InDesign and Illustrator trainings in a much broader variety. Regarding the app Im absolutely content. I can download the videos to my iDevice and watch them offline. The app works nicely and without any crashes. The only few things Im missing in the app compared to the browser are bookmarks and comments. Lynda has the most excellent teachers and learning with them is fun.

Absolutely grate app.

Lynda.com makes the best of learning. I also miss the bookmark.

My favorite online education resource.

Ive been a Lynda.com premium subscriber for several years now. The app gets better and better, new tutorials released constantly and quality of the material is top notch. The ability to track the progress, continue where you left off, download videos for offline viewing I guess are my favorite futures. The app/platform totally worth the price if you take education seriously and are willing to invest in it. 5 stars from me no doubt

What? My $25 per min doesnt qualify for offline?

That is not acceptable.

Not working now

Used to work great now I cant even open it without it crashing....update fail

crashes

The app crashes as soon as I open it

Crashes

Latest version crashes every time I launch it. I cant even send the report because it never gives me time to send.

App doesnt work on the new iOS

Can you please update it so it does

New version keeps closing

Your new update is not compatible with iOS 6.1.3 on iPod . Please fix quickly as iPod is my way of viewing your courses. I am considering closing my account!

Crashes

Can it be fix?

Got it working (it seems)

Folks, delete the app from your ios device and re-install it. Seems to let it launch, at least. Had the same problem with Any.Do, cheers.

Has not connected in months

This app has not been able to connect to the Lynda servers for months. I am considering cancelling my monthly subscription. Why give us a tool that has worked for years and then allow this travesty of an app to erode your reputation. What would Simon say?

Not bad but needs work

This is a decent app. I find it crashes on an ipad air often and doesnt play well with airplay and Apple TV. It has hope and overall is decent. Just needs some reliability issues resolved. Keep up the good work overall.

App Works fine but needs iOS7 Update

App works well enough. You can get access to all courses without too much hassle. However the app is in sore need of an update to iOS 7. Even the keyboard is still from iOS 6 era. Feels really out of place compared with basically any other app.

Too many glitches

Lynda.com is a fantastic service with a stellar web offering. The iOS app however is a real disappointment. Constant login issues and a failure to restart videos after returning to the app are two primary reasons why its not worth using. Please provide an update with bug fixes.

Lock screen rotation on full screen pls!

I enjoy the new interface but the sensitivity to screen tilt that rotates from full to split screen is really aggravating! I have to hold my phone at an uncomfortable angle to keep it from turning. Please find a way to give an option to lock rotation? Thank you!

One of the best purchases I ever made

Great, great content. Recommended for anyone looking to improve at their job or taking a software course. Just super stuff.

Um....

I think you forgot to update the app for the iPhone 6...

Great content, unstable app.

Lynda courses are excellent; however, their app designers need to take some of their own training to heart. This version crashes quite frequently, particularly when streaming to Apple TV. Other than that, it’s a great app, if a little frustrating.

Doesnt support Chromecast and Nexus Player

This app works decently, but it doesnt support the major streaming to the big tv platforms, such as nexus player, and Chromecast. AppleTV integration should have came long time ago, and is somewhat buggy.
